In the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Learning, the environment and spaces a child works within provide a fundamental learning experience, in which the child enters a world of discovery. At Children’s Garden, the learning locations function at the level of accessibility for the child.

Imagining an Artist in their Studio, the child is provided with space, materials and inspirational sources, and then given the time to explore their own reactions through these items. Like the Artist, the Child creates from an inner source of knowledge, with a focus on the process of project making, as well as the end result. The premise at Children’s Garden functions as a teacher, supplying children with space, calm, inspiration, materials and discovery opportunities.

Located in a spacious two floor villa, the building dates from the early twentieth century and has been remodeled and renovated specifically to the latest standard requirements for an early learning institution. Aspects of child and staff health and safety have been of top priority in the remodeling process and the
