The Early Childhood Curriculum Structure: uniting Danish Law and International Standards

Curriculum Goals at Children’s Garden meet standard International and Danish specifications for Early Childhood Education and are parallel to British National Early Years Foundation Stage, preparing children for their future schooling goals. The curriculum is suitable for entry to the British year 1, as well as the International Baccalaureate PYP curriculum or the Scandinavian school systems.

The Children’s Garden Curriculum is divided into Six Areas of Interaction and represents what we teach our children.  It is overlapped by the monthly Seasonal Plan to produce units of exploration, in which a child develops all areas of interaction during each unit which occurs in the timeframe of one calendar month.

The Six Areas of Interaction work together to produce a well-rounded pedagogical frame to contribute children´s development, learning, well-being and reinforcing a sense of community where all children are significant.
